The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Review of Licensees' Individual Plant Examination of External Events (IPEEE) Submittals: Seismic Analyses

The seismic analyses performed by licensees for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) Individual Plant Examination of External Events (IPEEE) program are currently being reviewed. Most of these analyses have developed estimates of seismic risk measures, the dominant contributors to seismic risk, and plant improvements to reduce this risk. This paper provides perspectives and insights gained from the IPEEE seismic submittals.
