We have carried out Monte Carlo calculations of the velocity distributions of the atomic products in dissociative recombination of diatomic ions of aeronomical interest near the exobases of Mars, Venus and Earth. Velocity spectra of N, O and C atoms produced in dissociative recombination of N_2~+, O_2~+, and CO~+ at the exobase of Mars are presented. These results were made possible by recent calculations and measurements of the branching ratios in dissociative recombination of these ions. Future data needs are discussed.
