Identity and degree of excitation of the products of dissociative electron-ion recombination

Flowing afterglow techniques for identifying, and determining the degree of excitation (both vibrational and vibronic) of, the neutral products of electron-ion dissociative recombination are described. Data obtained are given and are discussed in the context of recent storage ring measurements. Where possible, comparisons are made with available theory.
