A finite volume method for the time dependent viscous incompressible flow around an in-line oscillating circular cylinder at Rynolds number of 200, 855 is present. The Navior-Stokes equations are solved on a moving grid system, based on a time dependent coordinate transformation. To investigate the vortex-shedding charactteristics and the effects of Reynolds number and other non-dimensional parameters such as reudced amplitude and reduced freqeuncy, several numerical schemes have been tested. Present numerical results indicate several types of vortex shedding modes which are known mainly depending on the reduced frequency and also the reduced amplitude, which is called synchronization or lock-on.
