An experiment of Macroscopic Quantum Coherence can be realized by using a set of SQUIDs cooled at very low temperatures. One of the main problems in realizing such an experiment is the construction of a system performing a Non Invasive Measurement on the SQUID state. Such a device can be realized using a hysteretic SQUID working as a two-state superconducting switch. In this paper we will describe briefly the scheme of the experiment, the theoretical behavior of the SQUID switch, and finally the experimental results on a real switch, obtained at a temperature of 4.2K.
