摘要

Applying the principles of differential geometry and kinematics, the mathematical model solving the grinding wheel axial cross-section by the given drill's flute radial cross-section has been formulated on the basic engagement condition between the generating flute and the generated grinding wheel. The mathematical model of the flute radial cross-section with three arcs has been established. The CAD system solving the grinding wheel axial cross-section has been developed. With the system, the grinding wheel axial cross-section can be obtained conveniently under the condition of the flute radial cross-section with three pieces of arc.
