Performance evaluation of canmet three-phase hydrocyclone for treatment of wellhead production fluids (Laboratory testing)

摘要

Laboratory pilot testing was carried out to detennine the feasibility of using the CANMET three-phase hydrocyclone to separate heavy oil wellhead production fluid into an oil-rich product stream,a solids-rich stream,and a clean water stream.As solids removal from produced fluids is a costly problem,the primary objective of this application was to remove the solids before the fluid reaches a storage or settling tank.The secondary objective was to concentrate the oil-rich overflow stream.
