Modelling of phase transformation kinetics in advanced steels

The above described transformation model has successfully been incorporated into a hot strip mill process model and validated with industrial data for steels with a predominantly polygonal ferrite microstructure [21]. To extend process modelling to modem multiphase steels fundamentally based transformation models are currently being developed for acicular and other non-polygonal transformation products.
