摘要

This paper deals with material characterisation of a piping assembly containing a dissimilar circumferential butt weld between ferritic SA508 and austenitic stainless AISI304 steels made with multiple-pass welding technique. Tensile and fracture mechanics property data are presented. Micro-mechanisms of the observed fracture modes are explained.
