Aimed at the problem of upper corner's gas accumulation in the "U" working face that is put forward by the working field, the paper has raised the pulse ventilation method that bringing upper-corner's gas-accumulating under control, and detailedly analyzed the methane diffusion and mass-transmission mechanism which the pulsed ventilation method disperses the gas accumulating in the vortex flow field of the upper-corner of working face and climinates the uneven distribution of gas concentration in main flow f upper corner. It is tested by the field experiment that the pulsed ventilation emthod is effective and feaible.
