Route selection (or trip assignment) procedures attempt to model travellers' behavior in choosing the route that they consider to be the best. The purpose of this stage is to allocate the trips between zones to various routes that are most likely to be taken in travelling between a given O-D pair. The level of resolution of zoning system and road network definition has been accepted by many researchers to obviously affect the route choice selection and hence the link flows. In principle, greater accuracy (in terms of link flows) could be achieved by using a more detailed zoning system and road network definition. This paper analyses the impact of applying the equilibrium assignment on several different levels of resolution of zoning system and road network definition of Bandung (Indonesia). Foru levels of resolution, both for zoning system and road network definition, have been established; and there are 10 combinations of resolution will be tested.
