Multi-level Warehouse Layout Using Genetic Algorithm

摘要

In this paper, a special kind of warehose layout problem: multiple-level warehouse layout problem (MLWLP) is investigated. In the problem, the horizontal and vertical travel unit-cost are not same for all types of items. An IP model is proposed to formulate the problem, which is NP-hard. An effective assignment method is developed and GA based heuristics are presented.
