Advances in Emerging and Recalcitrant Contaminant Detection, Remediation, and Exposures: Update on the NIEHS Superfund Research Program

Background/Objectives. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Superfund Research Program (SRP) supports cutting edge research to investigate toxicity, exposure, and remediation of hazardous substances found at Superfund Sites and to address a wide array of scientific problems facing the national Superfund program. SRP funds a multi-project center grant program consisting of integrated biomedical and environmental science and engineering research teams. SRP also awards grants to small businesses, individual investigator teams, and training coordinators.
