We built this system for a customer's special order. The system started from a femtosecond pulse laser, which is an 800 nm wavelength 80 MHz modelock laser, pulse duration is less than 80 fs, pulse energy is 4 nJ, and bandwidth is 38 nm. This beam goes through a Margared and Herry stretcher and becomes a picosecond pulse train. The pulse train than amplified in a Re-Generative Amplifier pumped by a 532 nm pulse, 80 mJ 12.5 ns. The output from RGA are cavity-dumped pulses, each pulse is 10. 7 mJ, 340 ps, and bandwidth 28 nm. This pulse would four times pass a Bowtie amplifier, which was pumped by two 532 nm pulses 750 mJ each, became a 400 mJ, 340 ps pulse, the bandwidth measured is 26.5 nm. This pulse transferred to a compressor then was compressed to a 60 fs pulse and keeper 240 mJ. It was a 4 Terawatts peak power pules.
