CONFERENCE SUMMARY: MAGNETISM

摘要

The first regional conference on magnetic and superconducting materials served the important purpose of bringing together physicists from the region of Iran and surrounding countries with physicists from abroad, all engaged in developing and improving the understanding of magnetism and superconductivity. The conference took place at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran under nearly ideal conditions thanks to a remarkable effort of Professor M. Akhavan and the local organization committee. One additional reason for the success was the great helpfulness shown by the students at the university and their enthusiasm for learning from the discussing with the participants at the conference. It is also worth to mention that the weather was simply perfect.
