Torsion test: in-depth characterization and microscopic analysis

摘要

Ductile torsion fracture in bead wire testing is a primary goal for steel wire producers. THis study identifies critical parameters which influence torsion ductility by using analytical optical and scanning electron fractographic techniques. Based on these observations, causes for delamination failures were identified and a new classification of fracture surfaces was developed.
