UPCAST~(circle R) - near net shape casting of copper wire rod

摘要

Casting copper semi-products into near net shape is apprealing to many producers because of the elimination of capital-intensive deformation machinery. This article presents the manufacturing of #PHI#8 mm high-conductivity copper wire rod with the Outokumpu UPCAST~(circle R) process, which bypasses traditional routes of manufacturing of continuous casting and hot rolling.
