Application of Analytical Methods for Porcelain Enamel

Defects can be related to materials, procedures, and operations. After reviewing the inspection reports and visually examining the defect area, various analytical methods to troubleshoot the porcelain enamel defect may need to be applied. Optical microscopy and SEM analysis of the defect are the most common. FTIR, XPS, and XRD analysis can be applied for special cases. There are pros and cons for each method.
