Valuable Methods of Recycling Steel Mill Waste Materials From Caster and Finishing Operations

摘要

This paper will characterize the waste-oxide materials produced, i.e. hot strip and terminal treatment sludges and oily mill and caster scales, in the caster and finishing operations of a steel mill. In addition, two viable methods of recycling these waste materials will be described with an explanation of their end product applications, i.e. scrap replacement, DRI or hot metal.
