Spectrum Intensity (SI: unit is kine) value is adopted for estimating damage level caused by an earthquake. When SI value exceeds 30 kine, then some damage may occur, and heavy damage may come out if ground liquefaction occurs. So, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. has placed two types of seismic sensors, SI sensors based on acceleration and liquefaction sensors based on water level measurement for estimating damage caused by an earthquake. However, liquefaction sensors is very costly in terms of sensors cost and installation cost. So, new SI sensors has been developed which can measure SI value and can even judge ground liquefaction in one unit. In this paper, advanced algorithm of detecting ground liquefaction is presented.
