The paper deals with a model to measure the charging and discharging efficiency of the battery of a hybrid vehicle. The aim is to demonstrate that it's possible to evaluate in indirect way such values. The model has been implemented in SimulinkMatLab and the calculated values have been compared with data carried out in a set of experimental tests held in the ENEA Battery Testing laboratory. The results show that the model presented in the paper leads to the same values (as regards the globalefficiencies) obtained by direct measures.
