In this paper, a computer method for predicting the absorption infrared spectrum performance of anti-infrared smoke agent after reaction is developed. First, several databases and the corresponding management system are created, including that of normal pyrotechnic reactants and their properties; elements properties; and normal reaction products. In addition, the standard infrared spectrum graph database of normal reaction products is also set up. After the composition of reactants is determined, the reaction products and its composition are predicted by using the theory of oxygen equilibrium, also using the idea of minimum free energy method for reference, and applying linear program theory. According to the Lambert-Beer law as well as the percentage contents of the products in the aerosol, the absorption matrix is set up and the infrared absorption intensity of every reaction product in a certain wavelength is calculated by using numerical data of the standard infrared spectrum of every product. Thus the anti-infrared performance of a certain smoke agent can be judged.
