In this paper, the explosive dispersal process was divided into two regimes. For the first regime, a one-dimensional uniform phase model was presented to depict the motion of gaseous detonation products and liquid fuel, and a moving boundary method was used to treat the moving boundary of gaseous products. For the second regime, a two-phase flow model was presented to depict the interaction of liquid and gas (air). The external shape of expanding fuel-air cloud computed by numerical simulation is in good agreement with the experimentally measured. Some critical cloud parameters, such as the distributions of fuel concentration and fuel droplet size, and the gaseous phase velocity, as functions of time, can be predicted by numerical simulation.
