Ultrasonic dispersion in pigment pastes and paints manufacturing

Ultrasound has been to obtain an ultimate pigment dispersion in waterbome concentrated pastes and paints. The basic physical principle of this application is the cavitation phenomenon which appears in a liquid with the propagation of an intense sound wave: voids or cavities are created in the liquid medium, after growing they implode provoking intense pressure variations and high speed liquid jets.
