Comparison is made between calculations and experiments concerning UV transport in AC plasma panels (PDPs). In the model, trajectories are calculated with a Monte Carlo simulation. A simplified kinetic scheme is added, taking into account resonant and excimer states. Chromatic coordinates and luminances are measured for a 42" matrix PDP, leading to the fraction of photons escaping to the adjacent cells.
