Method to Measure Retardation of Biaxial Compensation Film for LCD Application

摘要

We have developed a method to measure in-plane and out-of-plane retardations of the biaxial compensation film for LCD application. This method is also applicable to measure retardation of negative uniaxial film. The method enables us to choose compensation films with the right parameters that can improve the optical performance of film compensated LCDs.
