The effect of linco-spectin~(TM) 44 - premix on the prophylaxis of postweaning intestinal infections in pigs

Stress caused by weaning among others influences significantly on decrease of piglets immunity. One of the serious problems of the postweaning period is bacterial infection of the enteric tracts. Results of these infections, apart from health statusdeterioration and often a mortality increase, are weight gain depletion and fattening time elongation. One of the methods used for postweaning diarrhoea prevention is the administration of feed supplemented with antibiolics through necessary periods. Thepurpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of Linco-Spectin 44 premix on the performance, and prevention of postweaning mixed bacterial enteric infections.
