STAPHYLOCOCCI AND MRSA ISOLATED FROM PIGS WITH CLINICAL SYMPTOMS

After the first isolation of Non Typable Methicilline Resistant Staphylococcus (S.) aureus (NT-MRSA) in 2004, several studies have found NT-MRSA in the healthy pig population[l]. So far, to our knowledge, there has been just one publication about a clinical case of NT-MRSA in pigs[2]. This report describes the isolation of Staphylococci and MRSA in diseased pigs.
