In recent years, an airbag system has been developed for vehicle collision safety. It is important to detect the vehicle collision correctly and quickly for the airbag system. Therefore, wavelet transform is applied for processing sensor signalsin order to identify the vehicle collision in a peculiar frequency. A judgment algorithm with high efficiency using the wavelet transform has been developed. Also, the technique which loads this algorithm into the microcomputer has been established.
