A comparative simulation analysis in the customer offer process using petri nets and discrete event simulation

摘要

this paper presents the experience gained from the use of business process simulation in a Greek SME company. The customer offer process was analysed after the completion of a reengineering project undertaken in the company. The ARTIFEX and ARENA tools have been used in order to model, simulate and test. The results were compared and conclusions were made for the advantages and disadvantages of the tools used.
