摘要

The paper reports generalised experimental volt-ampere characteristics of unipolar corona for a conductor inside a coaxial cylinder and above a plane, as well as for a bipolar system of conductors. Relationships between the generalisedcharacteristics permit tentative reduction of the corona current system to a unipolar current inside a coaxial cylinder, for which the current density j and the electric field strength E, essential for environmental assessment of bipolar HVDC powertransmission lines [1, 2], can be easily calculated.
