Integrated tolerance information system

摘要

The paper presents a concept for creating a tolerance information system which on the one hand calculates time and costs resulting from each tolerance and on the other hand serves as a decision support system ofr all business processes.Thus the concept combines the technical with the economical view to the tolerances.The purpose of the tolerance informatin systme is to collect and manage relevant tolerance information from all business activities within the company and to support the design engineering by providing information about costs,time and feasibility of a given tolerance in a feedback loop.The focus is on the techniqcal and management basis needed fo rthe adjustment of all business processes,which are influenced by tolerances,to the strategic factors time cost and quality.It also tries to integrate and coordinate managment and technical goals during the process of product development regarding tolerances as a quality feature.
