A review of the bsics of grain refining

In recent years LSM [part of the Metallurg Group] has led an intense research and development programme on the practicla use of grain refiners.Combined with its quliayt management experiemce this has enabled LSM to offer not only clearner and more ocnsistent products,but also pracitcla adivce to the user.A review of the basiscs of grain refining is presented.This covers technicla details of the refiners themeselves,nucleation and growth mechanisms,and information on the use of grain frefiners in a veriety of situations.
