摘要

The present study aims at investigating the influence of the connection behaviour on the seismic response of moment-resisting frames.In particular,with reference to both dual joint and homogeneous structural configurations,the influence of the building structural layout is pointed out through several time-history dynamic analyses,which are referred to six different naturla records.Both space moment resistant frames and perimeter moment resistant frames are considered.In both cases,parametrical analyses are concerning with moment resistant frames where members are assembled with different combinations of rigid,semi-rigid and pinned joints.Besides,in every case,several joint rigidity and resistant levels are accounted for.The results,summarised in terms of ductility demand as a function of the peak ground acceleration,allow the effect of the joint semi-rigidity on the global behaviour of the structure to be emphasised.Finally,the variation of the q-factor as well as distribution of the structural damage within the structure for all examined schemes are outlined.
