摘要

In this paper,tests of cold-formed thin gauge C-shaped roof panels with and without a longitudinal stiffener under concentrated and uniformly distributed vertical loads are described.Special attention was paid to the influence of the vertical deflection of the stiffener during loading with regard to the bending resistance.The usual design rules for thin-gauge steel members do not take into account the deflection of the stiffener to calcaulate the bending resistance.However,the tests showed,that neglecting this deflection can result in an overestimating of the bending resistance.
