摘要

In order to forecast the effect of viruses contaminating the ground water supply, sorption of pathogens on soil and subsurface materials was studied. Considering that change in free energy for the process (#DELTA#G) is directly proportional to the degree of sorption, a model has been devleoped using thermodynamic principles to predict sorption and to elicit information about the forces involved in the process.
