BiP on Line: A Software Project Library on the Internet

摘要

At the Department of Computer Science and Systems of the University of Napoli "Federico Ⅱ" we are developing an innovative teaching environment called BiP (Biblioteca di Programmi, Programs Library in Italian) on Line (BiPoL). In this paper we firstly provide an overall description of the kernel of our system, called Automatic Publishing System, APS. Secondly we describe a more specialized layer we have developed for Computer Programming teaching. Eventually we report the results of the impact of this environment on teaching computer programming in first level courses.
