Information management strategies in public sector organizations: goals and motivations

We analyze the special features of public sector information management strategies and compare them to those of the private sector. The goals and motivations for the strategies appear to be somewhat different than on the private sector companies. Public sector organizations formulate their strategies with respect to public stakeholders. Three cases from Vaasa, Finland are used to support the findings.
