Distribution of platinum-group elements in the Las Aguilas Ni-Cu deposit, San Luis, Argentina

摘要

Platinum-group elemtn concentrations in the Las Aguilas Ni-Cu deposit are generally below chondritic values and display, on overal, positive-sloped chondrite-normalized patterns with irregular shapes depending on the mineralized rock-type. The distribution of PGE is in good agreement with the mineralogy of these elements and can be expalined by a polyphased evolution defined by a primary magmatic origin within the middle to lower crust followed by a retrograde metamorphic evolution under granulite- to greenschist- facies conditions.
