摘要

This paper presents research carried out at the University of Vigo with the aim of testing and improving a multi-agent system architecture developed to facilitate the design, implementation and communication of Autonomous Agents. The aim of this distributed system is one of recommending to students which optional subjects may be more suitable for them. The multi-agent system architecture is based on a number of agents capable of communicating between them and sharing information. The system includes personal agents associated to students and lecturers, advising agent which use case-based reasoning systems to provide advice to students and a network of communication agents that facilitate the interaction between agents and with the users. The system designed uses the Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language for the agent communication and the agents are implemented using Java.
