Shortwave power amplifiers (PAs) are the most important nonlinear components in shortwave communication systems. It will generate significant intermodulation distortion (IMD) resulting in adjacent channel interference and higher bit-error rate when multiple nonconstant envelope modulation signals input into nonlinear PAs. Linearization techniques are necessary to compensate these undesired nonlinear effects. Among a variety of linearization techniques, digital predistortion technique has difficulties in modeling PAs and predistorter accurately and identifying systems. In this paper, we proposed a predistortion linearization method combined measured data with characteristics of shortwave PAs, which is suitable for “multi-objective” excitated memory shortwave PAs.
