The CO_2 Ocean Sequestration project in Japan

CO_2 Ocean Sequestration has several advantageous features when compared to Chemical CO_2 fixation technology and Biological CO_2 fixation technology: enormous sequestration capacity, long-term CO_2 storage capacity, lower energy penalty, and it is considered to be one feasible approach to the CO_2 issue. However, there is insufficient knowledge to ensure the technology at present, especially as regards environmental impact associated with CO_2 release into the ocean and the sequestration capacity of the ocean.
