New services on an advanced internet

This document presents some new network opeator services possible to deploy on an advanced Internet. These new services are placed in the context of current standardization activities under development in the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). In particular, both quality of service and PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) interoperation are discussed, and emphasis is placed on multimedia applications. Final comments present some operational and management issues in this new environment.
