Solving million of differential equations parallelly with cellular automata

Parallel computing has been kept an important subject for two decades. Investigations have been made in two approaches: how to execute program faster on parallel computer and how to describe problem easier with parallel programming. As a parallel computing model different from the usual way, cellular automata has been applied in many fields to simulate natural phenomena, which follow simple interaction rules locally but show complex behaviors globally. Well, there are also lots of systems which are complicated at both global and local levels and can't be described by the simple rules of standard cellular automata. Our work demonstrates that, after making some appropriate extension to certain cellular automata implementation, a cellular automata style parallel numerical computing model can be constructed, with the capability to conquer the mentioned complex systems by parallelly solving millions of difference equations used to describing the systems.
