A Method of Computing Scanner's Spectral Response Curves

When color management of a scanner is carried out, the scanned colors have to be calculated first or the scanner's color characteristics must be found. The normal calculation methods are polynomial fitting and spectral response function fitting. However, when spectral response function is calculated, the results are often not convergent, because large matrix is evolved, and special measure must be taken in order to obtain useful result. A novel method of calculating spectral response function is proposed for color scanner, which combines polynomial fitting and spectral response function fitting methods. The method is easy and ensures the result convergent. And the calculated results are of relative high precision.
