OPINIONS ABOUT THE TEACHING REFORM OF ELECTRICAL MACHINE COURSE FOR THE NON-ELECTRICAL MACHINE SPECIALTY

With the development of science and technology, and especially with the wide use of computers in various fields, the traditional teaching methods for the electrical machine course no longer meets the need of society. Moreover, the electrical machine course for the non-electrical machine specialty students should be taught in a different way from that of the electrical machine specialty students. The former needs to be integrated with more practical assignments, and after studying the course, students should be able to master modern and popular methods of controlling motors. This will necessitate a more rigorous course. This paper is based on eight-year of teaching skill in this course for the non-electrical machine specialty as well as the experience acquired from the University College of the Cariboo in Canada, and gives some opinions about the reform in this course from several aspects: content, practice link, teaching manner, etc.
