Content Development in the United Kingdom: a Background Paper

This background paper begins with an outline of a numberof national initiatives taking place in the United Kingdom which involve electronic content development. It goes on to concentrate on the context of higher education, and to describe the evolution of the Distributed National Electronic Resource, focusing particularly on content matters.
