This paper proposed a new computer-vision-based technology to test the thread portion. The thread form and helical angle of screw are key factors that determine the screw-in ability of a bolt And the controur of thread portion can be used to judge the acceptability of sscrew fastener. A virtual go-gauge is constructed to implement this task. The hypothesis has been proved to be feasible by extensive experiments.
