For polymers in the medical device and packaging industries, shelf life stability is an important design parameter. The commonly used oxidative stability measurements by OIT at relatively high temperatures and typically on the molten state of the polymers was found to grossly overestimating the lower temperature stability in the solid state. This study aims to explore the continuity and suitability of OIT data at lower temperatures and widely different experimental parameters such as flow rate and oxygen concentration.
