GETTER RESONANCE MEASUREMENT

This paper describes a method of measuring the resonant frequency of a two piece getter assembly that is enclosed in a glass laser cavity. A laser beam is passed through the glass laser block with the beam partially blocked by the getter. The laser block is lightly stimulated with broadband vibration and the response of the resonant assembly is picked up by measuring the shadowed laser beam with an optical detector.
